The project intends to pursue two primary objectives: to resolve local mobility, connecting pedestrian and viabilistically the

opposite sides of the Polcevera river, and to identify a series of specific places, under the new bridge, able to bring urban quality to the neighbourhood.

Thus, we strengthen the naturalistic vocation of the hills that define the edges of the valley, the urban character of Sampierdarena, Sestri and Rivarolo’s tissues and the productive skills of the western sector.

The main theme of the “Park” is actually declined according to the contexts that are crossed by, moving from Levante to Ponente. It’s designed to offer a differentiated proposal to visitors, going from a simple walk to the practice of specific sports, such as cross, rowing or traditional team disciplines.

The proposed program is structured on the essential choice to organize the project in section, through overlapping levels which are arranged hierarchically in the space delimited on the ground by the riverbed and, upwards, by the intrados of the new highway viaduct.
